The new “youth” gadget Xiaomi became the brand’s debut in terms of design, for the first time using an unusual cutout shape in the screen. In addition, the company positions it as “the best smartphone for selfies” – but it boasts other technical characteristics.
The dual front camera module of the novelty includes Samsung S5K3D2 and S5K3D2SM03 sensors (100 ° wide-angle lens). The resolution of each is 32 megapixels, and the main module is equipped with an autofocus system. In addition to wide-angle shots, the front camera can blur the background with the help of a second module, and also uses AI beautification to improve selfie shots.
The rear camera module includes a main 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 image sensor, as well as an auxiliary 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K with a wide-angle lens. The set is complemented by a 2-megapixel macro module with a GC02M1 sensor.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.55-inch diagonal curved AMOLED screen (800 nits, 10-bit color depth, 120 Hz refresh rate). The eight-core Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor (630,000 points in AnTuTu) is responsible for the performance of the novelty. The amount of RAM varies from 6 to 12 GB, built-in – from 128 to 256 GB, depending on the configuration. The 4500 mAh battery supports 67-watt fast charging (zero to 100% in 40 minutes).
The smartphone is available in black, pink, blue and white colors. The company also introduced a limited version of Hello Kitty with a special textured back cover and expanded packaging: a 5000 mAh power bank, a Hello Kitty figure, a case and other accessories.
Xiaomi Civi 2 is already on sale in China for $355 for the 8/128 GB version. Modifications of 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB will cost customers $350 and $390, respectively.
