Huawei will upgrade fifty devices to EMUI 9.1
Huawei has shared plans to distribute the new version of the branded EMUI shell, which was presented along with the flagship smartphones P30 and P30 Pro . Nearly 50 devices will receive an updated user interface and features that increase productivity and speed.
Huawei plans to upgrade to EMUI 9.1 49 smartphones and tablets. The first update will be the Mate 20: Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20X and Mate 20 Porsche Design. A public beta has already been released for these models.
For Mate 10, Mate 9, P20 and P10 smartphones, as well as nova 4, nova 3, nova 3i, nova 2s, HONOR 8A, HONOR 8X, HONOR 7, HONOR 10, HONOR V10, HONOR Note 10, HONOR 9, HONOR V9 and HONOR Play is currently undergoing closed testing within the company.
Next in line are the nova 4e, nova 3e, Enjoy 9 Plus, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 8 Plus, Enjoy 9s, Enjoy 7s, Enjoy 9e, HONOR 9 Lite, HONOR 8X Max, HONOR 20i, HONOR 9i, HONOR 7X and others. Also, the firmware will be available for a number of tablets: MediaPad M5 Lite (10.1 inches), MediaPad M5 Lite (8.0 inches), MediaPad M5 (10.8 inches), MediaPad M5 Pro (10.8 inches), MediaPad M5 ( 8.4 inches), Honor Tab 5 and others.
EMUI 9.1 includes a redesigned interface with new icons and modified pre-installed applications. Also, the firmware supports Ark Compiler technology , which allows to increase the smoothness of Android operation by 24%, the system response speed by 44%, and third-party applications responsiveness – by 60%. EMUI 9.1 introduces the new EROFS (Extended Read-Only File System) file system, which improves the speed at which data is read and increases the speed of devices. Another useful innovation is the fast transfer of data to Huawei laptops.
